Some challenges are not exactly real world scenarios.

The challenges on this site will teach you a wide variety of security related information/techniques.
Some of the challenges can be beaten simply by 'looking' around, while others may require some
knowledge of local buffer overflow exploitation, or SQL injection techniques involving web applications.

IHTB or it's members _DO NOT_ support, condone or encourage, in any way, shape or form any illegal
activities or prior knowledge of such activities. Any prior information given to IHTB or any of our
members, will be turned over to the appropriate authorities.

At IHTB we now have a new 'type' of challenge out for for your hacking pleasures and fanatasies.. We have created ISO images of custom IHTB made live cds to better mimic an actual real world system/ scenario.

You can download these images to your computer, then either burn them or run them within your favorite emulator. Once downloaded, each ISO will have an objective for you to do in order to complete the challenge.

The images will vary from basic to advanced. The first few will be sloley based on user error, configuration issues and weak or no passwords. So far none of the images will require some 0 day exploit to complete the challenge. Open source security tools commonly used will be more than enough for now.. Enjoy!.
